uk & ksc
officially been accepted to finish my degree in Documentary Production at York, St. John in York, England.
i will be able to take all documentary production courses, completing 4 shorts.
when i began at keene state college, it was the first year they were running a documentary production course. i was disappointed due to my desire to major specifically in documentary film.
but since i began, all the professors in the department have seen, listened and respected my passion for documentary and experimental filmmaking. They have helped me produce my films and began to recognize that many more were interested in those modes, maybe even more than Hollywood narrative.
so i’m proud to say that next year there will be 2 years of documentary courses including senior thesis as well as experimental film.
i’m the first documentary teacher assistant at keene state. the students are awesome and teaching film production is really fulfilling.
ironically, i will not be here to take these righteous classes but i’m so glad to help make that available for future filmmakers.
moving to york in mid-august till may/june 2010.
i’ll miss my family & homies, stoked to be with good friends again and mega pumped for all the new friends i’ll make

Brief History of THE DOWNSTAIRS MIX UP
We found a place right off campus and I immediately was sold by the basement.
In speaking with a good friend about the folk/punk scene in Jersey he showed me a video on YouTube with them throwing a show in a living room.
A decent amount of people were there and clearly having a rocking time.
I was also beginning my first documentary production course in the fall and needed an idea to work on for the year.
I decided I would attempt to start a FREE venue for music and art, documenting from start to finish.
Since September of 2007, we've held over 15 shows with over 40 different artists featured and over 80 hours of footage.
This is only the tip of the iceberg.
the night...
11 musicians played our house last night.
perfect acoustic crowd, large but quiet for the artists.
a very nice post show keg.
more as the hours go by.....
